A Moment of Consequence
With this print I wanted to create a sense of narrative and magic, to reflect traditional
story telling through images that would entice the imagination.
"A Moment of Consequence" was originally created for an exhibition at the RaMoMa,
the Museum of Modern Art in Nairobi, Kenya. This was a group exhibition between
the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and fellow print artists in Kenya. It was also
the inaugural exhibition for the newly opened RaMoMa. I hope this piece takes into
account an African audience through elements in the print such as the kikoy cloth, the
traditional East African wrap-around my model Kenzo is wearing.
