Our Place in Space
“Our Place in Space” visually represents two of the most dominant aspects of our world, our ever-present sky and the Earth’s
life giving oceans. The central image of this print is from a 19th century clock-work solar system. Photographed at the British
Museum’s room of Antique Clocks and Mechanisms, a wonderful collection of mysterious and beautifully crafted devices from
the 15th-19 centuries. This fascinating image has since been used in a number of my prints.
"Our Place in Space" was created using the processes of photo-etching and the Xerox transfer method in lithography.
All plates and stones were printed by the hand of the artist at Artichoke Print Workshop in London and the Honolulu
Printmakers Workshop in Hawaii. H 7" X W 21"
