Aviv was the first model I photographed who was not already a personal friend of mine. A student at The Imperial College of Sciences in London, Aviv and I lived in the same hall of residence along with 500 other University of London students. Israeli with Russian roots, Aviv had already modeled in Israel before coming to London for his studies. For me, coming from a background in the Pacific, Aviv had an exotic appearance. From his expressive green eyes and long dark animated hair to the structure of his strong and masculine face, and a chin always swathed in stubble, Aviv always caught the notice of the girls in Hall!
