In the back on my mind I was absolutely shocked and amazed when he first took off his shirt and revealed one of the most finely tuned and well crafted athletic physiques I’ve ever had the pleasure to record on film. Couple this with a handsomely structured face and you have a model who is truly special!
One of my more recent shoots with Kenzo was in the private garden and stream of a friend in Nu’uanu, on the Hawaiian island of
Oahu. We had no specific image or idea in mind, it was just an opportunity to shoot freely and to see what came from it. This is
where a model can actively be a part of the creative process and potentially interject their own ideas into the art work.
Our shoot in the garden was
actually a last minute thing to
simply document the amazing
surroundings we were blessed
to work. With half a roll of color
film left I “clicked” away as we
both climbed up the steep bank
back up to my friend’s house. |
