Project Director, Mai Ka Pohaku “From the Stone” The Honolulu Printmakers benefit print project, "From the Stone," is an on-going fundraising endeavor conceived by David B. Smith for the purpose of promoting lithography in Hawaii. The project introduces accomplished Hawaii artists to a printmaking medium they may not be familiar with and provides them the assistance of an experienced printer. The spirit of this project has been one of sharing and cooperation between those who have donated their time and technical expertise and the artists who have so generously provided their creative talent to produce superb prints.
